Deafness Support Network (DSN) is proud to have played a role in the success of Chester’s new Storyhouse development.
As Cheshire’s leading hearing charity, DSN supported the Storyhouse team by advising, supplying and fitting a cutting-edge loop system that improves the quality of sound for hearing aid users.
Loop systems operate throughout the building theatre, cinema, library, café and meeting and activity rooms.
DSN provided the Storyhouse staff with special training on how the system works and how to help D/deaf visitors use the system to maximise inclusivity and engagement.
“We were delighted to be asked to support this wonderful project with our expertise and experience,” said Gill Reeder. “Inclusivity and social engagement are clearly at the top of the priority list for the project developers and we’re really pleased to support them.”
Nancy Davies, Marketing and PR Manager at Storyhouse said: “DSN’s expertise has been welcome and invaluable and their professionalism in helping us achieve our objectives has been impressive.”
